It (the staging) was especially valuable to me, given that our house was a relatively "unimproved" house with 1970's kitchen and 1950's bath and many people cannot appreciate the possibilities. Also, the fact that we had moved out increased the importance of "illustrating" the house's various living spaces, and also not leaving prospective buyers with the feeling that they could lowball an offer because no one was "living" there, thus implying a desperate seller.
